Strung on a line, they go from unripe to ripe to overripe. A narrative arc of beginning, middle, and end. A life cycle, an all too predictable chain of events. Strung on a line, they become a party streamer, too, signing celebration of a party we're not invited to. They go from unripe to ripe to overripe. And maybe back again, like a pendulum swing or aging in reverse or rewinding the tape. Like a zipper that goes side to side. It's part of a loop. Repetition is implied. Repeated viewings encouraged, walk back and forth. A narrative arc of end, middle, and beginning. They go from overripe to ripe to underripe. Over to under, under to over, passing through the sweet spot each time.
